Things to Do
Whether you’re looking to take a dip in the ocean, build sandcastles with the kids, or have a romantic walk by the shore, Rockport Beach is the place to be.

Beyond the beach, there are lots of other activities and attractions to keep you entertained. From the nearby restaurants and shops to the historic sites and museums, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Shopping & Dining
Rockport Beach is the perfect destination for a family getaway. After a fun day in the sun, take a stroll around the nearby shops, restaurants, and art center for a truly unique experience.
Bayside Walking Path
The Bayside Walking Path can be found at Rockport Beach. The walking path along the shores of Little Bay is 3/4 mile. Starting at the Beach entrance and going down around the circle and back to the Beach entrance is 2 miles. The beach road is also open to walking and cycling.

Rockport Beach Park has a bird sanctuary on the West side of the beach area. Islands in the sanctuary host coastal birds such as Rosette Spoonbills, Blue Herons, Egrets, and more.

Beach Weddings
The Rockport Beach is the perfect setting for Beach Weddings.

Beach Weddings
The Rockport Beach is a public beach, therefore, there is no charge for having a ceremony on the actual beach.
You will have to designate the area you wish to use then remove all your decorations after the ceremony to allow the public access to that area.

Pavilion Weddings
We have four rental pavilions, two of which have indoor spaces. These two come with banquet tables and chairs included.

We rent only the pavilions. We can recommend vendors for catering, DJ, photography, flowers, decorations, and linens but these are services that we DO NOT provide.

The advantage to having a pavilion rented is that you (and your guests) will not be charged the parking fee for entry into the Rockport Beach and those that have a rental are allowed first choice of ceremony sites.

You can view photos of past weddings on our Facebook page, Pavilions at Rockport Beach.
Please see the Pavilion Package for more detailed information on renting one of our facilities or having your wedding on the Rockport Beach. Viewing of the pavilions is done by appointment only and generally only Monday through Thursday since the pavilions are usually rented Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Please call 361-729-6661 to schedule your appointment today.
